Oh geez, look at the horrible chipping around my cuticles. Anyways, I was in the mood for something BRIGHT and Flip Flop Fantasy definitely fits that. My picture is coming off a touch more orange than it is in real life but very close. It's a neon and neons tend to dry matte or with a rubbery/plastic-y finish. Two coats of OPI Alpine Snow and two coats of FFF and a coat of Seche Vite. Honestly, this mani made me feel like I was in elementary school again, painting my nails with white out and coloring them with highlighters. FFF on it's own would take 4-6 coats. This is actually my right hand because it started chipping so bad on my left I couldn't bear to show you. I can't tell if it's because of so much polish or just a poor application on my part.
End of April and I got 5 posts in this month! I'm making it a goal for May to have more frequent and regular posts. We will see how that goes...

Zoya Savita
I know I said I was going to post an extra special polish this week and I didn't. I will get to it soon, I promise!
This is Zoya Savita. Savita is actually Zoya's MatteVelvet formula, hence the matte bottle and cap. But what you see here is 2 coats with base coat and OPI top coat. I LOVE this color but it is my problem child polish. If you want it to be a true matte, you can't use base coat and top coat BUT it will chip within a couple hours and absorb any moisture that ends up on your nails or is in the air. So it won't be matte or on your hands for more than a few hours. With top coat and base coat, wear time is really only 24 hours at most. The one redeeming quality to this polish is dry time - 1 minute max on this. Really. UGH, why can't I have the pretty color AND fast dry time AND matte finish without the ridiculously short wear time?

China Glaze Make Some Noise
What's this? Three posts in one week? It must be a miracle. Nope, I'm just taking more time to take care of me and enjoy my favorite hobby, polish. This is CG Make Some Noise from the Electropop collection. It looks so much more orange here than it does in real life. But that does answer my question. It's definitely a red in real life but I couldn't figure out if it was a coral based red or a blue based red. How could I not tell? It's just so so red. Anyways, 2 coats and OPI top coat. Some bubbling for sure but not super noticeable from arms length. I'm fairly happy with this one. I don't think I have anything else quite like it.
My next polish I'll post early next week. It's one that's near and dear to me. Have you ever had one of those colors, be it polish or lipstick or eyeshadow, that you wear for special or significant events? Yeah, that's the next polish I'll be showing.

Orly Space Cadet
My first ever Orly! I got this on a whim at Ulta when I was accidentally buying the China Glaze Prismatics. I'm not overly impressed by this color. It's very unique but it doesn't really fit my personality. Formula was nice and smooth and so so easy to work with. Two coats, topped with Seche Vite.
As you can see, minimal tip wear. I put this on last night and then did a ton of dishes today. I'm really happy with how well it wears. For as much as I did to it today, no chips! I'm definitely excited to pick up more Orlys in the future!

China Glaze Optical Illusion
That crack in my pinkie is finally gone! I finally broke down and picked up 3 of the new China Glaze Prismatics. I wasn't sure I was going to like them when I saw swatches online but I figured there had to be a good reason everyone was going gaga over these. And oh yes, the mayhem is totally justified. This is Optical Illusion. It kind of shifts from blue to green to silver. I wish I could have captured the green. It makes me think of mermaids! I'm so in love with this color. I can't see the holo China Glaze claims is in this but it's so intense, I don't really think I need to notice the holo.
In a side note, I was trying to no buy but clearly, this polish (and three others) was the end of that. I'm still trying to be conservative with my polish buying. I have so many untrieds, it's ridiculous.
