Zoya Carly

I am just so tired, it's hard to form coherent sentences but I'll try. This is Zoya Carly. It's a raspberry foil. The pic shows it quite bright and pinky but in low light/artificial light it looks more like a deep wine color. It doesn't blind me with its beauty but it does feel fancy on my nails. I don't know how to describe that. Anyways, formula was spot on. Easy to control, almost a one coater. Maybe I just had bad luck with the one or two I had mentioned before but it seems like the trend with Zoya is a fantastic formula! I just wish they were easier to locate in person.
Just two more Zoyas and then we are moving on to some decidedly summer colors!

Get It or Skip It? ELF Cosmetics

ELF was one of the first brands I started to explore when I was first starting out. Everything was affordable so it was easy to get a bunch of stuff to just learn with. ELF tends to be very hit or miss. Today I'll be sharing with you some of the things I think you should include in your next ELF order and things you should just pass over.

Get it:
The Studio HD Powder is amazing! It sets my makeup without leaving a white cast to my face, or making me look too matte or powdery. You get a good amount of product for $6. Only downside is how messy it can be, as it is a loose powder.
Everyone sings the praises of the Studio Blushes and for good reason. I have three and there is really only one of them I wouldn't recommend, Fuchsia Fusion. It's too glittery for my taste. But the other two, Tickled Pink and Candid Coral, I highly recommend. Not the most pigmented but they are inexpensive and have become staples for me.
One of the first things I picked up from ELF are the Essential Brightening Eye Color quads. They are only $1 each and the colors pair so well together. They can take you from day to night and are a great way to experiment with different colors and looks without breaking the bank.
I've already mentioned how I grew to love the Essential Hypershine Glosses but it's worth mentioning again. They are not highly pigmented but they are long lasting and add a ton of shine and a touch of color to any look. My only complaint is the scent, it's kind of plastic-y. These are still totally worth a look.
I own a ton of ELF Brushes. I would really recommend getting the studio kit if you can catch it in a sale. My four favorites are the Essential Spoolie, Essential Blending Eye Brush, Studio Angled Contour Brush and Studio Powder Brush.

Skip it:
Another one of my first ELF purchases were the Essential Duo Eye Shadow Creams. They are just too greasy feeling and never really set. Also, they crease even with a primer.
On a similar note, the Studio Cream Eyeshadow is just not great. I reviewed it here and at the time I liked it. But the texture is just so dry and it lacks the pigmentation and longevity that would make it a real winner. There are better cream shadows out there for the money.
I got the Essential Super Glossy Lip Shine on the recommendation of emilynoel83 but I just can't love it. It's goopy feeling and it tends to migrate to the edges of my lips. Plus it smells like grape cough syrup and that's just gross.
The last two things you should recognize from my Project Pan. The Essential Brightening Eye Liner is just so dry and it skips. It takes multiple passes to get an opaque line and this is just to painful to do that.
The Essential Clarifying Pressed Powder is just not finely milled at all. Unless I use an ever so slightly damp brush, it goes on looking powdery. Plus it has little to no coverage. Just don't bother.

So that's it! This isn't everything I've tried from them but just the ones worth mentioning. I haven't ordered from ELF in a long time but they have a lot of new stuff I want to play with. Any favorites from ELF I should check out? And what should I just skip?

Project Pan April Update

Another month has passed by and I've got another Project Pan update for you! And this one is actually quite disappointing as I haven't hit pan or used up anything this month. Instead of being diappointed by this, I'm actually still really proud of myself. I went 7 months, using things up and hitting pan, when before I hadn't ever done that (beyond mascaras). I have this renewed excitement for this project and hopefully I'll have at least one, maybe even two things to talk about next month.

This month, I'm going to put ELF's Candid Coral into my project pan. I just want to hit pan on it, I haven't had one of those in a while!
I've also been keeping a closer eye on spending this month, only one slip up. I'll keep at the no buy part of this for a little while. It's actually really hard but I'm working at it.
I hope you had a good month and enjoyed this special Saturday post. Have a good weekend!

Zoya Aurora

I'm absolutely in love with this color! This is Zoya's Aurora. It's a sheer raspberry jelly with a scattered holo effect. I did two coats which does make it look a bit transparent but I kind of like the way that looks. Three coats would have been fully opaque but I was just too lazy for that. The formula was fantastically easy to work with. Overall, a great polish and one I would definitely encourage you to get if you are looking to jump into Zoyas.
This year, I sort of made it a goal to not buy as much polish while I'm trying to work my way through my swatches. Until now, that hasn't been too difficult. I've fallen so hard for China Glaze's summer neons collection though! Transdesign will have it on May 1st and I'm tempted to order 6-8 of them plus a few other polishes I've been lemming. I don't plan on resisting but I'm hoping to not go completely overboard. Considering how well that worked in March, we will see what I'm come up with. Any other summer collections I should be taking a look at?

Candles By Victoria Haul #2

I hope you are cool with another CBV haul even though I just did one last week! This was the order I placed during the April 1st sale and it shipped super fast, just 2 days later. I probably won't place another order until at least June. For one thing, I now have quite a few candles to enjoy and really don't need any more. For another thing, they will be on vacation in May so I'm sure they will be quite busy and turn around time will be long. Again, I did a video review for this and I think that's the way I'll keep doing CBV reviews.

My free scent shot was Trix Are For Kids. It does really smell like Trix cereal. I don't really have a problem with Trix but I'm not sure I'd want my house to smell like it. I ordered Zucchini Bread which I'm on the fence about. I'd like to give it a warmer so I can give it a fair shot.

L to R, T to B, I'll Have What She's Having, White Nectarine and Pink Coral, Tokyo Spring. Bite Me, Cinnamon Donuts, Captain Crunch Berries.
I got another No Frills Sampler and honestly I love every single one of these scents. If I had to pick favorites it would be I'll Have What She's Having (a mix of her Bear Claws scent and her Chocolate Chip Cookies scent), Cinnamon Donuts and Captain Crunch Berries. But all of them are awesome!

L to R, T to B, Hurricane in Vanilla Bean Noel. Minis in Texas Summer, Granny's Pie Crust, Bath Time With Pooh.
The hurricane candle is for my mom, who fell in love with Bath and Body Works Vanilla Bean Noel and didn't think to get any extras before they were gone for the season. I chose to get three minis because I don't melt and these were scents I was more timid about. I shouldn't have been because I love them. Bath Time With Pooh is my favorite scent that I've tried so far from CBV. I'm planning on getting a big candles of that and Granny's Pie Crust in my next order.

I had to get a couple more of her cute candles. The bowl is a Banana Coconut Cha Cha candle and it smells like if you took a banana cream pie and coconut cream pie and mixed them together in a bowl. The glass is Hawaiian Colada Sweet Treat candle. I want all of the Sweet Treats but this one smells like a delicious fruity summery drink so it seemed seasonally appropriate!

And here's the video:

I'm loving all my new goodies but I'll definitely cool it on the CBV for a while. Anyone else smitten with her lovely candles?

Zoya Mimi

Sigh :( So this is Zoya Mimi. I bought this specifically because I thought it would be everything I wanted Sally Hansen Loves Me Not to be. And it's not. Mimi is a very shimmery, foiled plum color. It's very lovely but I was disappointed by the tiny shimmer. I had looked up swatches before deciding to buy this and it seemed as if it had the big flaky pieces I was hoping for. Anyways, the formula was easy to work with. I did three coats with a coat of Insta-Dri. I'm only on my second day of wear and it still looks great. Not sure if it will last too long though as my disappointment has kind of spoiled wearing it. It will probably come off tomorrow.
Anyone know of a purple with flakies? I'm still on the hunt!

Current Wishlist: April 2013

AKA: I seriously don't need any of this but I'm having a ton of fun window shopping. I really need to be on a spending ban. I'll apologize ahead of time that there is more sarcasm than I'm usually comfortable with in this post.

1. Brushes
I have a ton of brushes but I'm always looking for that one new brush that will preform miracles. I've been wanting two of the Sigma Sigmax brushes, the P82 and the F86. I also want some new blush brushes so I'm thinking of Sigma's F15 and/or MAC's 168 and the Real Techniques stippling brush, which I hear is good for cream blush. For eye brushes, I'm lusting after a MAC 217 and I just need to replace my spoolie.

2. Blushes
I have WAY too many blushes as it is. Regardless I've been wanting to try NYX's cream blushes and their regular powder blushes. I do have one Tarte blush but I'd love to get my hands on Exposed. I've never tried theBalm but blushes are a great place to start right?

3. Candles By Victoria
Yes, I just did a haul and I have another one to show you this week. But that's not keeping me off her site. I currently have 26 (!!!) of her pretty decorative candles and 50 scents on my wishlist. That doesn't even include the scents I've got and want giant candles of.

4. Foundations
I need new base products like I need a hole in my head. I have more than enough. But I want to try all of these. I've tried Matchmaster before and it's a fantastic full coverage, matte foundation. But I haven't tried any of the other four. Maybe when I use up one that I've got, I'll pick up one of these. (Because that's a fantastic policy)

5. Vera Bradley
The only thing on this list that I really need is a new baby bag. Specifically, a smaller cross body bag. And I've had my eye on the VB Mom's Day Out. MonkeyToes isn't really a baby any more and I carry around less stuff for him so I really need a bag that better serves our needs. The others are just because. I mean really, VB turtle gear? I have to get my hands on that!

So that's it! I enjoy making these lists even if I know I'm not going to run right out and buy everything on it. What's currently on your wishlist?

Zoya Kelly

This is Zoya Kelly, probably my favorite Zoya! Kelly is a deep purple tinted gray. I'm absolutely in love with it! It dries much darker than the bottle color. The formula is beautiful on this. It's very easy to control and only takes two coats. This polish is so special to me. I've worn it quite a few times. Most notably, this was the last polish I wore before my son was born. Yes, I do remember those types of things. It gives me fond memories of those last few weeks of being huge and just waiting. I even have a picture of it!
This was from our maternity shoot 9 days before he was born!
So that was much sappier than I intended. Am I the only person who has tied certain memories to a polish? Please tell me no!

My First Candles By Victoria Haul

I mentioned in my collective haul post that I had also placed an order with Candles by Victoria. Well I received it a couple weeks ago and they've had time to cure so I figure I'd do a review. I don't know that writing out a scent description would be helpful so I did make a short video review as well!

Victoria includes a free Scent Shot with every order! She gave me Kiwi Kicker, which is basically a straight up kiwi scent. Scent Shots are 2oz and are meant to be melted in a warmer.

L to R, T to B, Pink Sangria, Bahama Mama, Go Go Juice. Bella Swan, Blushing Peaches, Caramelized Pralines.
I decided to start out pretty simple with a No Frills Sampler, which is six 8oz candles of your choosing. My favorites are Bahama Mama, which smells like a pina colada, and Go Go Juice, which is a mix of her Mango Sorbett scent and her Strawberry Margarita scent.

I also wanted to get one of her pretty candles so I got a Blueberry Cheesecake Sweet Treat candle. It's sooo cute and it smells just like blueberry cheesecake!

I also made a video! I've never made a video before and I was very nervous so please be gentle with me :)

So that's it for my first CBV haul. I'll definitely post another one soon because I just received my April 1st order but it was way too many goodies to compile into one post. Has anyone else tried Candles By Victoria? Any favorite scents I need to try?

Zoya Zuza

Summer 2012 brought probably my favorite collections from Zoya, Surf and Beach. Zuza is from the Surf collection, which is all foils and pretty shimmer. Zuza is a foiled aqua. The formula was smooth and easy to apply, which is quite a change from the last Zoya I showed, Charla. I'm quite happy with it, I was worried all my Zoyas would be difficult to apply. So far, no chipping. Just minor tip wear on day 2. It's a pretty unique to my stash color, as I don't have a lot of aqua/turquoise shades.
My blog got a little makeover yesterday! I'm still working on it so, any constructive feedback is most definitely welcome!

Review: Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream

I've mentioned Holika Holika's Moisture Petit BB Cream in several posts lately but I felt like it really deserved it's own review. Keep in mind, this product was my first experience with an Asian BB cream but I'm blown away by how awesome it is!

The good:
The coverage on this is phenomenal. I'd say this is one of the most full coverage base products I own. I usually apply one thin layer and then if I can still see any redness or spots, I'll pat it on like concealer as well. It even covers my under-eye circles better than most traditional concealers! It's super moisturizing, so much so that it wouldn't even matter if I didn't put moisturizer on before hand. It dries down to a natural satin finish. Moisture Petit also has a great SPF, which is good for me because skin cancer is common in my family and for redheads in general. This is a great low maintenance routine product, as it cuts out a ton of steps. I don't use primer, concealer or powder when I wear this.

The bad:
I only have two problems with Holika Holika Moisture Petit. One is the color range. This comes in one shade. It seems to adjust a bit so there's a little wiggle room but mostly if you are anything darker than maybe a NC/NW 20, this just isn't going to work for you. Another small issue is the scent. It's got a strong perfumey scent to it. It bothered me the first couple of times but I don't even notice it any more.

Where in the heck do I buy this?!
I purchased mine for $5.88 plus $2.50 shipping from a GREAT ebay seller, cosmeticmarket2012. I'm very certain that this and the other products I have purchased from them are 100% legit. They get everything shipped out quickly and even included samples in my orders. Shipping did take about two weeks from the time they sent it out, but that's understandable coming from overseas. If you are impatient like I am, the $2.50 upgrade in shipping is totally worth not waiting another 1-2 weeks. Holika Holika does have a US website now but I haven't ordered from it. If you are nervous about legitimacy, that's the way to go.

Final verdict?
I'm thrilled with pretty much everything about this product. If you think it would match you, I definitely recommend picking it up! It's a million times better than the American BB creams that I have tried.

Anyone have a favorite Asian BB cream I should try? This was the first I tried, I've picked up two more since and I'm definitely open to other suggestions!

Illamasqua Mottle

So this was the second Illamasqua polish I just had to have! Mottle is a minty green base with three kind of black glitter in it. I used two coats, a thin one and then a thick one but I feel like three thin coats probably would've looked nicer. I was just being lazy. Lovely formula and like I said before my biggest complaint is that the cap doesn't come off. I could also add to the list of complaints how difficult removal is. Taking off Fragile was HORRIBLE. Still I'm super happy I picked this one up!
I'll probably go back to swatching my Zoyas for now. Does anyone have any requests for polishes you'd like to see? You can see a really up to date listing of what's in my collection in the link underneath the header!

The Five Product Challenge

Quite a while ago, I read a post on the share bear about how she challenged herself to pare down to just the essentials. Just five things. And it stuck with me. I use a TON of products when I do my makeup. So I decided to try it, just to see if I could.
And obviously, I couldn't. I got down to six and I was like NO, there isn't anything I can cut out. Overall, I'm still happy I managed to get down to six.
It came out as a really nice, "no makeup" type of look! As a bonus, I only used one brush as well, my Real Techniques Blush brush.
Do you think you could do it? Even if you think you might only get down to six, I challenge you to give it a go!

Illamasqua Fragile

My first Illamasqua polish! As soon as I saw the promo pics for these, I knew I needed at least Fragile and Mottle. I couldn't wait to try this, so we will be taking a quick break from Zoyas so I can wear these. Fragile is a soft baby blue with three sizes of black glitter- microglitter, larger hex glitter and smaller round glitter. The effect is very much like a robin's egg (candy or the real thing, I think both!). This was three coats, with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri. The formula was absolutely great and absolutely made me want to try more from Illamasqua. My only problem is the square cap. I wish it was like Butter London's and the square part comes off because the size of it made it a little awkward to hold. Overall, I'm super happy with this and I'm glad I found it!
Anyone else manage to find these? Which were your favorites?

Liebster Award!

I was nominated for a Liebster Award by Jade @ Beauty Kitten! I'm pretty excited and I really appreciate it!
The Liebster Award is given to blogs you love under 200 followers. It's a great way to discover smaller awesome blogs! The rules are fairly simple:

1. Each blogger should answer the questions the tagger has set for you.
2. Choose 11 new bloggers to pass the award onto and link them in your post.
3. Create 11 new questions for the chosen bloggers.
4. Go back to their page and tell them about the award.
5. Each blogger should post 11 random facts about themselves.
6. No tag-backs!

Here are my answers to Jade's questions:

1. What makeup product do you have a weakness for? (Ex. blush, lipsticks, mascaras)
Definitely blush! I've got a ton on my wishlist but I've got way too many as it is.
2. What's your favorite season?
Spring! I don't like the heat of summer or the coldness of winter and I love how everything feels new and bright and full of promise in the spring.
3. What's your favorite song right now?
I couldn't pick just one! Mama's Broken Heart by Miranda Lambert and Merry Go Round by Kacey Musgraves.
4. If you had to go on a reality show, which would it be?
Maybe Big Brother? I would hate to be on a reality show!
5. What's your favorite movie genre?
Is historical a genre? I love The Young Victoria, My Week With Marilyn, and The Queen. I'm most looking forward to The Great Gatsby.
6. What's the last book you read?
The last book I finished was Lemony Snicket's Who Could That Be At This Hour?. It's definitely aimed at kids but I've been reading Lemony Snicket books since The Bad Beginning. I'm currently working on A Game Of Thrones by George R.R. Martin.
7. Are you a cat person or a dog person?
I like dogs but I'm definitely a cat person.
8. What's one food that you hate?
Olives. There are a lot of things I can overlook when they are mixed in with everything else (onions, mushrooms) but I can't eat olives.
9. How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I love alliteration. So I just thought of lots of nail polish words and tried to match them up with words that felt very personal to me at the time. My son was still quite small and almost everyone mentioned his monkey toes when they saw him.
10. Do you have any pets?
Together, my boyfriend and I have three cats.
11. Do you make a lot of impulse purchases?
As far as beauty products, yes. I don't often go in with a set idea of what I'm getting but about half of what I end up with I had seen reviews/swatches of before hand.

11 Random Facts About Me:
1. I'm a twin (and that's my default answer for when someone asks for an interesting/random fact about me).
2. I wanted to go to school for pharmacy when I was in high school. I don't regret not doing it, life led me down a different path.
3. I love the scent of Tide and clean laundry. Like I want my whole house to smell like that all the time.
4. My boyfriend and I made our New Year's resolution to eat more pie. So far, so good.
5. Turtles are my favorite animal. Always have been, always will be.
6. I find it really offensive when people "joke" about gingers not having souls.
7. Sir Roger Moore is my favorite Bond but I think Ralph Fiennes will be my favorite M.
8. My sister and I did a carpet commercial in the 5th grade. It was...weird.
9. My favorite restaurant is Olive Garden.
10. I have never broken a bone.
11. I keep lists for everything. Like seriously, everything.

The people I nominate:

1. Sam @ Violently Beautiful
2. Jenn @ Fondue You Love Me?
3. Anna @ Business Lady Polish
4. Dejhana @ Waite a Little
5. Kim @ Graced By Lace
6. Astrid @ Truth About Cosmetics
7. Sarah @ SarahSee. Beauty
8. sillylilacs @ Secret Life of a Pharmacy Student
9. Ali @ Pulchritudinous Polish
10. beautybabbling @ Beauty and Babbling
11. Meg @ Meg Bolderson

Here are my 11 questions for them!

1. How did you meet your best friend?
2. What's one makeup thing you struggle with?
3. What's one place you really want to see before you die?
4. What do you splurge on?
5. Who would you pick to play you in a movie?
6. What is your absolute favorite store to shop at?

I had a ton of fun doing this and I hope you found some new bloggers to follow!

Zoya Charla

My sister requested that I swatch all my Zoyas so I figured we could start with Charla. Charla is a sheer blue base with greenish/yellowy shimmery flakes. On the nail, it looks like a foiled turquoise. This picture is indirect sunlight and it looks so shimmery and turquoise but in artificial lighting it looks like a richer deeper bluish green. Definitely a color a mermaid would wear! I'm undecided on how much I like this color. It's one of the colors I had built up in my head to be mind blowingly beautiful and I don't think it could ever live up to my expectations. The Zoya formula is one lots of people love but I find it tricky to work with. It's just a bit too thin for my taste. This was three coats and it's still a little sheer near the tips. It chipped majorly at about 24 hours when I was trying to install a new car seat in our car. Not something I would usually note but this came off in HUGE pieces.
Please tell me I'm the only one who has problems with Zoya? I'll keep trying, as I have 7 more to show you and I really want to love them. They come out with the prettiest colors and the bottle is one of my favorites.

Collective Haul: March 2013

So when I said at the end of February I wasn't going to get too crazy...yeah, that went out the window! March was a month of retail therapy for me and I don't regret it one bit. So let's just dive right in.

Color Club Halo-Graphic and Angel Kiss, Studio M Spring Fling, Illamasqua Fragile and Mottle
So I randomly found the Color Club halos at Meijer and of course Studio M is a Meijer brand so Meijer was an all around win this month! I broke down and ordered Mottle from Sephora but found Fragile in store and got that one too! Both of those will be up next week (and I'm so proud of myself for not letting all of these languish in my untrieds for months on end!)

Skin79 VIP Gold Super Plus BB, Skinfood Good Afternoon Rose Lemon Tea BB, Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB, Mac Mineralize Moisture foundation
YAY for Asian BBs! I ordered the Holika Holika on Ebay at the very beginning and loved it so much I ordered the Skin79 and Skinfood. They just arrived yesterday so I haven't been able to do anything other than swatch but I'm so excited to test them out. I'm hoping to get a review of the Holika Holika up some time this month. MAC's Mineralize Moisture foundation was something I was so interested in as soon as I saw the PR so after some adventures at the counter trying to find the best shade for me, I got a bottle in NC15. And it's perfect!

Nars Amour blush, MAC Melba blush
So I noticed during March that I don't actually own any matte finish blushes and only a couple satins. MAC Melba (which I keep wanting to call Peaches for some reason) was recommended to me at the counter but I'd had my eye on it for a while. Nars Amour was a complete impulse purchase at Sephora. When the mua put it on me, it was pure love at first sight.

Revlon Lip Butters in Juicy Papaya and Wild Watermelon, Cover Girl Lipperfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Blush Twist
I happened upon the new Revlon Lip Butters in Target one day and picked up three of them. I already passed along the third, Pink Lemonade, to my sister as I just couldn't pull it off. If you're looking for them, check the permanent display. I decided I had to have another of the chubby lip pencils from the drugstore (just not a Revlon one) and went with this one from Cover Girl, Blush Twist. It's been my favorite everyday lip color lately!

Wet N Wild Nude Awakening palette, Smashbox Entice Me palette and Full Exposure mascara (deluxe sample size)
I found the WNW palette at Meijer at the very beginning of March and it was the last one in the display! See, I told you Meijer was full of win this month. It's a great palette for sure, but I don't find myself reaching for it as often as I thought I would. The Smashbox goodies were a prize from their Love Me promo! I also got my entry on their billboard in Hollywood, even if it was for like 30 seconds.

Zoya Remove+, Bath and Body Works Beautiful Day fragrance mist, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, Batiste Dry Shampoo in Cherry scent, Beautyblender
I needed new nail polish remover and justified the cost of Remove+ because I had a gift card and I can reuse the bottle. I've used it a couple times and it's ok but not incredible. I had a coupon for BBW and decided to get Beautiful Day because I hardly ever see them have scents with green apple in them, which I LOVE. I threw the FAB cream in my Sephora order so I could get free shipping but it's so awesome! I got the Batiste with my gift card as well and I love it! It does exactly what I thought dry shampoo should do and it smells nice. Also in my Sephora order, I got a two pack of beautyblenders. Yes, they are worth all the hype they get.

So that's it. April shouldn't have even have half this amount because damn, that's a lot. I did place my first Candles By Victoria order a couple weeks ago but that shouldn't arrive until tomorrow. I also ordered during their April 1st sale so I guess I'll try to get a collective haul for you together whenever my sale order gets here. If you want a review of anything, let me know!

Disclaimer: The Smashbox things were sent to me for free from Smashbox for participating in their Love Me promo. Everything else was purchased by me with my own money.

Color Club Halo-Graphic

Another beautiful Color Club holographic polish! After I wore the first one, I knew I needed some more. So I picked this one up and I'm surprised that the displays have been mostly full when I see them (mind you, that was mid March so I'm not sure if they are still around Meijer stores). This is Halo-Graphic. It's hard to tell in the fluorescent lighting in the store if this was the purple or the pink of the collection but it's definitely pink. You can see the difference between the pointer and the pinky, how much this color can vary. Two easy coats and I'm still absolutely in love with this formula.
I'm hoping these kill any lemmings for the China Glaze holographics coming out this summer. The Color Clubs look like lighter, less intense colors than the China Glaze but I paid $6.99 plus tax for this and the CG are supposed to be $10! Anyone going to be hunting for those?

March 2013 Favorites

I don't always do favorites posts but this month I very clearly favored certain products so I figured it was definitely worth a post!
Redken Sheer Straight Gel - I'm not much of a gel person, or even a hair product person in general. Usually I just use my Redken Slim Supreme but ever since my hair cut at the end of February, I've needed something more. This helps make my hair really straight and hold my style a lot longer. It doesn't make my hair feel sticky or stiff. An all around win in my book.
Urban Decay De Slick - This is a mini I got from Sephora back in December and I just pulled it out this month in an attempt to use up some samples and minis. I do have a full size of Dew Me but this is fantastic for days when I want a less dewy look. It really makes my makeup last. I really want to get a full size of either this or All Nighter, but it will have to wait until I use up some of my other setting sprays.
Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB cream - My first experience with an Asian BB cream was a fantastic success! It's so moisturizing, has great coverage, and looks really natural. I'll definitely include it in my haul post on Wednesday and I might even do a review!
Batiste Dry Shampoo - This was also a new purchase this month. I needed a new dry shampoo (also because of my hair cut) and I decided to get this one because I'd heard lots of good things. It does exactly what I expected of it, makes my second day hair feel less oily and look a lot nicer.
Benefit Coralista - I already wrote a whole post about it but this was the one blush I wore the very most this month. I've already got a small dip in it and the idea of using it up makes me want to run out and buy a full size.
Beauty blender - Again, another new product this month but long story short, this is worth all the hype it gets. It does take a little more time than a brush or my hands but I love it!
Wet N Wild Vanity Palette - I was reminded I had this earlier this month and I've been loving using this. I'm trying to kill my lemming for Urban Decay's Naked Basics palette and it's only sort of working. Regardless, the quality of the shadows is really top notch and I wish WNW still made these.

What were your favorites this month? Also, look out for a massive collective haul on Wednesday!
